I use behavioral research methods and brain imaging to study how people make risky decisions. In July 2018, I successfully defended my dissertation to earn my PhD from the Department of Psychology at Carnegie Mellon University.
I currently work as a Senior Behavioral Research Scientist with Dr. Linda Babcock in the Social and Decision Sciences Department at CMU. My postdoctoral research will focus on how social factors influence students' perception of risk to impact their use of institutional resources to support academic success and sense of belonging and wellbeing at universities.
I concurrently work as a Senior Research Fellow within CMU's Center for Student Diversity & Inclusion to assess ongoing programming and initiatives, along with undergraduate and graduate student identity development work focusing on the intersection of race and masculinity.
